Preparations for this summer’s FIFA Under 20 World Cup are well underway with England taking on France in an international friendly this evening.
The game will take place at Shrewsbury Town’s Greenhaus Meadow Stadium.
Last year’s European Under 19 champions should provide a real test for Brian Eastick’s side.
England reached the semi finals of that tournament to secure their place in Colombia in the summer.
England have named an 18-man squad, some of which were part of Noel Blake’s side for that tournament.
Nathaniel Clyne, Steven Caulker, Nathan Baker, Matt Phillips and Dean Parrett have all been named, and were all stars of last summer’s tournament.
Blackburn Rovers goalkeeper Jake Kean, Coventry defender Nathan Cameron, Watford striker Marvin Sordell and Manchester City defender Reece Wabara will all be hoping to debutize tonight after being named in the squad for the first time.
Tickets for the game cost only £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. At that price, if you’re local its a must-see match!

My prediction… England 0-2 France. The French are very strong candidates whilst England lack any true stars.
