Earlier this month, Kenny Swain named his 18-man squad to travel to the Faroe Islands for the annual Nordic Tournament.
The competition kicks off in early August and is a chance for Swain’s batch of upcoming Under 16 players to test themselves in an official Under 17 tournament.
Although Swain is technically the Under 16s coach, he always takes charge of this tournament and uses it to give his current Under 16s and uncapped players the chance to represent England at a higher level before the official campaign starts.
On 6th August England will play Faroe Islands, before taking on Finland a day later and finishing the group matches against Norway on 9th August.
They will play a further and final game on 11th August against either Denmark, Sweden, Iceland or Faroe Islands Under 19s, who replace Scotland in the tournament.
