Following a long saga of transfer speculation, Alban Bunjaku has joined Spanish club Sevilla from Arsenal.
The 18-year-old joined the Gunners when he was eight and has played a major role in Arsenal’s Under 18 side in previous years.
Despite consistently playing well at that level, he made one solitary appearance for the reserve side. After a disagreement with the coaching staff at the London club, Bunjaku was trialled at West Ham United but has now agreed to join the Spanish giants.
It is believed that Bunjaku will play for Sevilla ‘B’ next season before hopefully making the step-up to the first team in coming years.
Jeorge Bird’s Arsenal Youth Blog reads: “Bunjaku has always carried an aura of mystique about him.”
