Highly-rated Ezekiel Fryers has made his debut for Tottenham Hotspur following his controversial move from Standard Liege that infuriated Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
He played for Spurs Under 21 side against Charlton Athletic in which the North Londoners won 4-0 through Andros Townsend, Jake Livermore and a brace from Jonathan Obika.
He played a part in one goal as he won the ball in the centre of midfield before laying it off to Ryan Mason who fed through Obika for his first.
The 20-year-old turned down a contract with Sir Alex Ferguson’s side in the summer and spent time at Spurs. He then moved to Standard Liege but moved to White Hart Lane at the start of the month – a move that left Sir Alex Ferguson fuming.
