Cameron McGeehan scored the penalty which gave Norwich the lead coming into tonight’s tie and another gave his side a comfortable lead this evening.

Norwich City beat Chelsea 3-2 at Stamford Bridge tonight to win the FA Youth Cup.

They took a 1-0 first leg lead into the tie and managed to beat the Blues in front of 17,676 fans.

Jeremie Boga opened the scoring for Chelsea early on when he shot into the bottom corner of the net. Adam Nditi scored an own goal after pressure from Joshua Murphy to grant Norwich an equaliser and put them back ahead on aggregate.

Cameron McGeehan scored his second penalty of the two-legged tie after Carlton Morris was bought down by Alex Davey to give Norwich a comfortable position at half-time.

Murphy scored the Canaries’ third to put the tie almost beyond doubt. With three minutes to go Boga grabbed his second of the evening but Chelsea would still need two goals to salvage extra-time.

It was not to be for Ade Viveash’s men and captain McGeehan led the celebrations on the pitch at full-time.

There will be more reaction to come on The Youth Radar tomorrow.
