VIDEO: Manchester United’s Petrucci Scores Stunning Free Kick

As Manchester United Under 21s beat Leicester City by a single goal last night in Warren Joyce’s 100th game in charge of the Red Devils there was more than one reason to celebrate.

Not only did United earn a vital three points on their pursuit of a second consecutive Barclays U21 Premier League title but midfield maestro Davide Petrucci scored an absolute blinder.

After being tipped as the next Paul Scholes in his early United days, there are now calls for Petrucci to replace Tom Cleverley in the United first-team squad.

Watch below as Petrucci curls one in at the King Power Stadium.

  1. Looks a very good player. Needs some polishing, but at least he offers hope. Deft touches, slick passing, not afraid to put in a tackle – hopefully he gets a chance to play for first team and develops into a midfield gem for United.
