Goals from Tariqe Fosu and Jack Stacey saw Reading come back from 3-2 down to beat Manchester City 4-3 in the second leg of the U21 Premier League Cup final.
In front of a home crowd at the Madejski Stadium, Reading came back from their first leg defeat to be crowned champions on Saturday afternoon.
Goalscorer Stacey told the Reading Post: “It’s unbelievable. For my goal, it was the same sort of situation against Fulham here in the FA Youth Cup first leg, when I won the penalty.
“I thought the keeper might have taken me down again, but you can’t beat that feeling of relief when I went round the keeper and put it into an empty net.
“Then for the last ten minutes we just defended so well, it was brilliant from the boys.”
