I am a 22-year-old Multimedia Journalism graduate from Bournemouth University currently working as an Audio Visual Assistant at Southampton FC.
I started The Youth Radar in 2011 after identifying a massive gap in the market for youth football on the Internet. The website has gone from strength to strength and in the past three years has been nominated for a Guardian Student Media Award, recognized by the Guardian, Eurosport and BBC Sport and has become commercially viable through advertising revenues.
During my time at university I have completed various work placements at the likes of ITV Meridian, The Guardian, Four Four Two, FHM and Sky Sports’ Soccer AM. I have also worked for AFC Bournemouth’s media team for the past three years, churning out video content for their YouTube and Player services.
Sadly, time constraints of full-time work mean that the website can’t be updated as much as it once was. However, follow The Youth Radar’s Twitter feed for all the latest youth football news, results and opinion.
