Peru earned a hard-fought point after drawing with Paraguay in the hexagonal final. They took the lead through Miguel Araujo in the first-half but Junior Alonso’s second-half effort saw the points shared.
Chile’s stunning form in the South American Youth Championship continued as they thrashed Ecuador 4-1. The in-form Nicolas Castillo opened the scoring on 18 minutes before Diego Rubio doubled the lead. Castro grabbed one back for Ecuador but Claudio Baeza and Mora secured the win for Chile.
