Squad Selected to Retain Title in Serbia

Nathaniel (Nat) Chalobah, is the most experienced member of the England side travelling to Serbia

John Peacock has named his final squad to take part in next month’s European Under 17 Championships in Serbia.

An 18-man squad will fly out to Serbia where they will attempt to retain the trophy.

Nat Chalobah is the only remaning squad member from the side that beat Spain in last year’s final 2-1.

England defeated Spain by the same scoreline to reach the finals, as well as beating Belgium and Northern Ireland.

England will face France, Denmark and Serbia in a bid to pass the group stages and qualify for this year’s Under 17 World Cup.

Peacock has selected the same group of players that passed through that Elite Qualifying Round and has faith that they can emulate the side’s success from Lichenstein last year.

The Youth Radar will provide full coverage of the tournament throughout May.

Full Squad: Alex Henshall, Sam Magri, Nathaniel Chalobah, Jake Caskey, John Lundstram, Nick Powell, Raheem Stirling, Adam Jackson, Nathan Redmond, Hallam Hope, Jordan Cousins, Jordan Pickford, Blair Turgott, Adam Morgan, Brad Smith, Ben Garratt, Matty Regan, Max Clayton.
