England Crowned Champions in Montaigu

The England squad line-up for their group match against Uruguay

England Under 16s have beat France in the final of the Montaigu Tournament.

Penalties decided the victor of this year’s tournament and England cooly won the shoot-out to be crowned champions

England’s draw against Guinea on Saturday saw their place in the final secured after wins against Uruguay and UAE.

Last season’s squad lost out to Portugal last year but this year’s youngsters went one further and won the tournament in France.

Captain Ryan Innis lifted the trophy at the end of the tournament and England’s next test will be the Nordic Tournament in the summer.
