Rosenborg Victory Sees Villa Win Group

Rosenborg’s victory over Ajax means that Aston Villa progress to the Quarter Finals of the NextGen Series as group winners.

As things stand, Aston Villa would face Marseille in the next round. Ajax also managed to claim second spot, and would therefore play Barcelona in the knockout phases. Marseille would have to beat a challenging Celtic side by more than 8 goals in order to overcome Barcelona and top the group.

In the other Quarter Finals, Tottenham will face Liverpool in an all-English tie.

Sporting Lisbon will contest the remaining Quarter Final against FC Basel, PSV Eindhoven or Inter Milan, who all have games remaining.

Rosenborg narrowly missed out on qualification by one point, but will hold their heads high after defeating a much-fancied Ajax outfit away from home.

Rosenborg grabbed both their goals either end of the second-half.

Firstly Bjornholm put them ahead in the 52nd minute and Oien’s last minute winner secured the victory for the Norwegians.

  2. Their advertisement will be very enticing, but one has to exercise some caution before buying the service.
