Arsenal’s Benik Afobe set for Birmingham Loan

Benik Afobe in action for England.

England Under 19 international Benik Afobe will reportedly join Birmingham City on loan.

Following an injury last season that kept him out of action for the Gunners, Afobe is eager to begin rebuilding his flourishing reputation and will almost definitely leave the club on loan this transfer window.

Birmingham look to be the club that will secure his signature as Lee Clark looks to challenge for the Championship this year at the midlands club.

Clark signed Afobe when he was at Huddersfield Town in 2010, so is no stranger to the young striker.

Afobe joined Arsenal at only 8-years-old and signed a professional contract in 2010.

Afobe returns this week from Estonia where England reached the semi-finals of the European Under 19 Championship, losing out to Greece.
