Liverpool are trying to sign Hamburg striker Son Heung-min in an attempt to solve their goal-scoring crisis.
Summer signing Fabio Borini has not yet found the net in the Premier League and Luis Suarez provides the only world-class attacking threat.
Heung-min has made an impressive start to the season in the Bundesliga and can also play on the wing.
The South Korean international joined the German outfit at 16 and became the youngest ever player to score in club colours at 18-years-old.
Franz Beckenbauer has publicly said he is a top admirer of Heung-min and has even suggested he could be the next Cha Bum-Kun.
In 47 first team appearances for Hamburg, the youngster has scored 12 times, including four this season in only eight games.
