Brendan Rodgers is looking to reward wonderkid Raheem Sterling with a new contract.
His recent performances, particularly against Wigan Athletic at the weekend, have been nothing short of established first-team class and he has recently seen himself called up to the full England senior team.
Rodgers wants to offer Sterling around £30,000 per week, but also wants to ensure that Sterling is not spoilt at such a tender age.
Sterling’s current deal offers him around £100,000 a year, according to the Daily Mirror, which means his wage will grow by almost 13 times.
And the new deal will rise as he makes appearances and collects accolades.
