Liverpool Stopper Goes Out On Loan

jamiestephens_5029023588fd4784143059Liverpool Under 21 goalkeeper Jamie Stephens has been loaned to Welsh outfit Airbus UK until the end of the season.

The 19-year-old was signed by the Merseyside club in 2010 from Swindon Town when he was dubbed as one of the best young goalkeeping talents in the country.

He took the Barclays Premier Academy League save of the season in 2011 for an outstanding stop away at Manchester United.

Stephens progress was hindered throughout the following season due to a recurring injury. Liverpool hope the loan deal will give him first-team action and get him back to the level they expect.
