England U18s Suffer Narrow Defeat In Season Finale Against Belgium

noel-blake_1685110cA second half goal from Gilles Sallaets secured a single goal victory for Belgium against England Under 18s.

Noel Blake’s Young Lions were unfortunate not to come away with a draw in La Louviere and utilised all 18-men in the squad.

It was a 69th minute effort from the Belgians that gave them the win though and marked a losing finale to the end of Noel Blake’s season with the youngsters.

With no competition at under 18 level, the age group serves as a stepping stone into the under 19s set up, which play competitively in the European Championship and attempt to progress to the FIFA Under 20 World Cup.
