Fabio Borini is the stand-out player in Italy’s Under 21 squad that will travel to Israel next month.

The 22-year-old joined Liverpool from AS Roma last summer for around £10million after scoring ten goals for the Serie A outfit.

Borini had previous spells in England with Chelsea and Swansea after playing for Bologna’s youth academy.

Marco Verratti also gets a call up as he comes in fresh off the back of winning Ligue 1 with Paris St Germain. He joined the French giants from Pescara, where he made his first-team debut at the age of 16.

Devis Mangia’s squad also includes Napoli midfielder Lorenzo Insigne, who has grabbed five goals in eight under 21 appearances for Italy.
