Ghana have given themselves hope of qualifying through the best third place rule after thrashing USA in their final game in Group A.

Goals from Frank Acheampong and Kennedy Ashia combined with a Ebenezer Assifuah double were enough to make Shane O’Neill’s goal meaningless.

USA finish bottom of the group on one point and exit the competition.
