VIDEO HIGHLIGHTS: Iraq U20 3-3 South Korea U20 (5-4 On Pens)

Iraq made it to the semi-finals of the FIFA U20 World Cup after a penalty shootout win against South Korea.

The underdogs, who topped England’s group earlier in the competition, deserved their win after going ahead three times, but were pegged back by a resilient South Korean side.

Ali Faez gave Iraq an early lead from the spot but Kwon Chang-Hoon replied on 25 minutes.

Farhan Shakor restored the lead but once again Korea fought back and Lee Gwang Hoon made the scores level.

Farhan struck again in the second half of extra-time after the game finished 2-2, but a last minute strike from Jung Hyon-Cheol made sure the tie went to penalties.

Farhan scored the winner as previous scorer Lee Gwang Hoon missed his spot kick.

Iraq face Uruguay in the semi finals on Wednesday.
