Paris St Germain’s perfect record in Group A was shattered by Lens at the weekend as they were beaten 3-0.
Dimitri Cavare netted a double for Lens while Simon Banza grabbed the other goal in the thrashing of the capital-based side.
“Both teams showed a great state of mind. This proves that there is a very good agreement between Lens and PSG,” said Lens coach Pascal Plancque.
“It was a game with a lot of commitment and intensity. It’s not played much. We managed to open the scoring on a kick off and a recovery head Dimitri Cavaré.
“We led 0-1 at halftime. In the second period, Paris was a penalty that Valentine Belon was able to stop. This is the turning point of the match because two minutes later, scored two goals in quick succession through Simon Banza. Then we managed to defend well. It was a serious, solid and quality match!”
