It was no surprise that Wolfsburg celebrated another win this weekend as they dominate the Junioren Bundesliga U19 north/north east division.

It wasn’t as convincing as their previous performances but they still secured three points against Lubeck. The hosts went ahead through Paul Seguin before Lubeck equalised. Federico Palacios Martinez, who has been in top form this year, put Wolfsburg ahead before Julian Brandt extended the lead in the final ten minutes.

Holstein Kiel provided a shock as they beat Werder Bremen and they remain unbeaten in the league.

Carl Zeiss Jena 6-0 Rot Weib Erfurt, Osnabruck 1-4 St Pauli, Hansa Rostock 0-0 Union Berlin, Hertha Berlin 3-3 Hamburg, Hannover 5-3 Dynamo Dresden, Wolfsburg 3-1 Lubeck, Werder Bremen 0-1 Holstein Kiel.

Leverkusen are sitting top of the west division table after an entertaining 3-3 draw against MSV Duisburg.

After a midweek defeat against Manchester United in the UEFA Youth League it was a nightmare start for Leverkusen as they went 2-0 down.

Dennis Engelman and Paterson Chato bought them back into the game. Engelman gave Leverkusen what they deserved when he netted from 25-yards to put them ahead.

“After that, it actually looked like we would still possible to add the fourth goal,” said coach Nils Drube.

“In terms of use , moral and game, you can not blame the team,” said Drube about the convincing performance, but not so satisfying result. Duisburg sit 7th in the league.

Leverkusen 3-3 Duisburg, Fortuna Dusseldorf 1-0 Wuppertaler, Moenchengladbach 0-1 Bonner, Arminia Bielefield 2-1 Rot Weiss Essen, Rot Weib Oberhausen 0-4 Schalke, Koln 0-2 Dortmund, Bochum 3-0 Theesen.

Shock leaders of the South/southwest division after six matches are Augsburg after they beat Greuther Furth away from home this weekend.

Daniel Bastian, Arif Ekin and Simon Krumpschmid scored the goals for Fred Claus’ side.

“My team was secure in defense and took advantage of the scoring opportunities ahead. According to our guide 2-0 Greuther Furth has indeed made a lot of pressure, but can only achieve a goal. We have played very effectively,” said Augsburg coach Claus.

Astoria Walldorf 1-3 Kaiserlautern, Hoffenheim 1-0 1860 Munich, Bayern Munich 1-1 Freiburg, Greuther Furth 1-3 Augsburg, Frankfurt 0-1 Unterhaching, Karlsruher 0-1 Mainz.
