Championnat National U19: PSG Remain Top In Group A

Group A

Paris St Germain remain top of the group three points clear of second-place Lille with a 2-1 win over Caen this weekend.

Lille kept up the pressure as they defeated Valenciennes in their home match.

Caen 1-2 Paris St Germain, Le Havre 1-1 Paris, Lille 2-0 Valenciennes, Arras 2-0 Racing Club, Quevilly 2-1 Amiens SC, Lens 2-0 Drancy, Avranches 1-0 Amiens AC.

Group B

In Group B, Evian gained a slight advantage over Sochaux at the top of the league as they went two points clear with a win over Sedan.

It was an emphatic one as well, winning 6-0 away from home to a Sedan side that were no pushovers.

Sochaux could only grind out a draw against Epinal, games that they should be winning if they stand any chance of challenging for the title this season.

Pontarlier 1-3 Auxerre, Sedan 0-6 Evian, Epinal 0-0 Sochaux, Reims 3-1 Nancy, Metz 3-1 Strasbourg, Dijon 1-1 Troyes, Mulhouse 1-2 La Chapelle.

Group C

In Group C, it’s still Guingamp and Chateauroux matching each other at the top of the league after both sides won again this weekend to keep the title race in full flow even at this early stage of the season.

Guingamp won their fixture 3-1 at home to Bayonne while Chateauroux inflicted Colomiers seventh defeat in seven games as they ran out winners against the league’s bottom side.

Rennes 5-0 Le Mans, Nantes 3-1 Bordeaux, Guingamp 3-1 Bayonne, Niort 4-0 Stade Brest, Colomiers 1-2 Chateauroux, Stade Laval 0-0 Tours, Angers 0-0 Lorient.

Group D

In Group D Toulouse went top after Saint Etienne suffered a surprise defeat at the hands of Cannes.

Toulouse managed to defeat last season’s overall champions 2-1 to condemn Monaco to their third defeat of the season and maintain their unbeaten record.

It was Saint Etienne’s second loss of the season and only Cannes second win, making the result all the more surprising.

Cannes 3-1 Saint Etienne, Clermont Foot L-L Gallia Lucciana, Toulouse 2-1 Monaco, Nimes 2-0 Montpellier, Lyon 1-2 Andrezieux, Bastia 2-0 Le Puy, Ajaccio 2-1 Nice.
