Newcastle United are reportedly attempting to sign the ‘new Tim Krul’.
Dutch Under-21 goalkeeper Warner Hahn has been linked to the Magpies according to Chronicle Live.
The 21-year-old FC Dordecht stopper is also being tracked by Serie A sides Lazio and Roma.
Scottish giants Celtic tried to sign Hahn over the summer and Newcastle believe he could be available for around £2 million.
Hahn has been compared to Krul due to his desire to move abroad to England early in his career – his nationality probably helps too.
Hahn left Ajax to sign for the Dutch second division side 18 months ago, and has impressed Newcastle scouts since making the switch.
The Mirror are reporting that if Hahn is to sign, he will challenge Krul immediately for the number one jersey at St James Park.
Hahn has played 26 youth internationals starting with Netherlands under-16s in his six-year professional career, including seven appearances at under-21 level.
