Norwich City won last season’s FA Youth Cup against Chelsea in the final.

Norwich City began their defence of the FA Youth Cup with a thrashing of Preston North End at Deepdale last night.

It wasn’t as simple as the scoreline suggests though, as Preston took the game to extra-time to set up a nervy additional period for the Canaries. But Neil Adams side scored FIVE times in the extra thirty minutes to cruise into the fourth round.

Jack Ryan scored Preston’s opener before Carlton Morriss cancelled it out to equalise.

Goals in extra-time came from Harrison Heath, Rhys Browne, Jamie Eaton-Collins, Morris’ second and the rout was completed by Ray Grant.
