Michy Batshuayi may be just 20-years-old but he is this season’s top scorer in the Belgian Jupiler Pro League and is wanted by Premier League side Everton.
The Standard Liege forward was watched by Toffees scouts last weekend as Roberto Martinez looks at investing in back up for Romelu Lukaku.
Batshuayi has hit 13 goals so far this season and has been compared to fellow Belgian Lukaku on a number of occasions for not only his scoring prowess, but his build and technique.
He is the star of his country’s under-21 side and is expected to be another leading light in Belgium’s golden generation.
Standard Liege reportedly want around £8 million for Batshuayi but Everton will be keen to drive down the price and could make money from Nikita Jelavic to fund the purchase.
He made his debut for Standard at just 17-years-old and has scored a total of 37 times in 103 appearances for the Europa League side.
He has hit almost a goal every other game internationally, netting five times in 11 Belgium under-21 appearances.
