After last week’s 3-0 win against Middlesbrough, Liverpool maintained their good start to 2014 with a storming 5-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers.
Former MK Dons starlet Sheyi Ojo netted a double for Neil Critchley’s side and Sergi Canos, Dan Cleary and Harry Wilson from the spot finished the rout.
Critchley said: “It’s been a very good week for us and it was another pleasing performance.
“We played some excellent football and were 4-0 up at half-time, and then we controlled the second half as well.”
Arsenal were held at Reading to keep them bottom of the southern division.
Tarum Dawkins and Jack Jebb grabbed the goals for the Gunners but Reading replied through Tarique Fosu-Henry and Jack Stacey to earn a point.
Four games including Chelsea v Spurs were postponed due to bad weather this weekend and will be rearranged in due course.
Full results: Bolton 2-0 Everton, Stoke 1-6 Wolves, WBA 0-3 Southampton, Blackburn 0-5 Liverpool, Norwich 0-1 West Ham, Reading 2-2 Arsenal.
