Fulham remain top of the Barclays U18 Premier League southern division after they drew with fellow high-flyers Tottenham Hotspur this morning.

Fulham beat Spurs in the FA Youth Cup last week but there was to be no such result this time as they shared a point each.

Patrick Roberts, who was called up to the England under 17s squad yesterday and penned his first professional deal with the Cottagers during the week, opened the scoring from the penalty spot following a foul on Dean O’Halloran.

All the goals came before half-time as all the remaining three goals were scored within six minutes. Daniel Akindayini levelled for Spurs before grabbing his second and putting them in front just a few minutes later when he got on the end of Nathan Oduwa’s palmed cross.

O’Halloran equalised for Fulham just before half-time when Josh Smile and Roberts linked up well to play through the striker to apply a confident finish.

Elsewhere, Arsenal won just their third league game of the season but their second in consecutive weeks as they beat Southampton 2-1.

Everton continue their good season form and keep pressure on northern league leaders Manchester City as they ran out 1-0 winners against Wolves. Tyrone Duffus scored the only goal for the Toffees.

Full results:

Man Utd 2-4 Blackburn, Newcastle 2-1 Bolton, Stoke 4-1 Liverpool, Sunderland 2-0 Middlesbrough, Wolves 0-1 Everton, Arsenal 2-1 Southampton, Aston Villa 1-2 West Ham, Fulham 2-2 Tottenham, Leicester 1-2 Norwich, Reading 2-0 West Brom.
