Campionato Nazionale Primavera: AC Milan Edge Past Varese To Continue Title Charge

AC Milan are now eight points off top spot in Group B of the Campionato Nazionale Primavera with two games in hand.

If Chievo Verona slip up at the top, the Rossoneri will be there to pounce and showed positive signs after recording their third successive win at the weekend against Varese.

Luca Vido scored a first half brace for Milan whilst Pedone added a second-half header.

Group A

Sampdoria 4-0 Carpi, Bologna 1-1 Genoa, Spezia 1-1 Modena, Juventus 1-2 Parma, Empoli 2-2 Siena, Sassuolo 2-4 Torino, Cesena 0-1 Novara.

Group B

Pescara 0-1 Udinese, Padova 1-0 Inter, Chievo Verona 4-0 Cittadella, Cagliari 1-0 Ternana, Milan 3-2 Varese, Brescia 3-2 Virtus Lanciano, Atalanta 0-1 Verona.
