Liverpool were knocked out the FA Youth Cup last night after they lost on penalties against Reading.
Reading were 2-0 ahead ten minutes before the end before Liverpool came back and led 4-2 in extra time but an amazing comeback by the Royals meant the tie went to penalties.
Harry Cardwell’s double meant Reading were leading until Jordan Williams and Jordan Rossiter threatened to end their semi-final dreams with two goals inside the final ten minutes.
In extra-time, Daniel Trickett-Smith and Harry Wilson put Liverpool 4-2 up and it seemed the Reds would run away with victory.
However, goals from De’Jaune Taylor-Crossdale and George McLennan sent the tie to penalties and the rest was history.
