Reigning Barclays U18 Premier League champions Fulham beat Reading in front of ITV cameras last night to reach the final of the FA Youth Cup.

They won the tie 5-4 on aggregate after beating the Royals 3-2 on the night.

A hat-trick from Moussa Dembele gave Fulham the win on home turf against a Reading side reduced to ten men when Dominic Hyam tripped Patrick Roberts in the box.

Dembele netted the penalty but the Royals were soon level when Tariq Fosu dispatched from the spot down the other end.

With half an hour left, Jack Stacey gave Reading an unexpected lead – much like they were ahead in the first leg.

But also similarly to the first leg, Fulham came back soon after and Dembele scored a second. The third came when he blocked a clearance from Rob Dickie and the deflected ball found its way into the net. Heartbreaking for the underdogs.
